The Jews were surrounded by those who opposed them and the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. The job seemed overwhelming and impossible to them. God visions show that His Spirit would sustain them day by day through every difficulty they face. God always provided His children with the resources they need to do His work and the Spirit to sustain them. There is a day coming when all the earth will be judged. Justice will prevail and wickness would be eliminated. The greatest promise is that God would send a Messiah to save His people from their sins. This Messiah is Jesus. There is no other mediator between God and man.
