God, Divorce, & Apostasy

God hates divorce. The church must remember that it is God who created marriage and therefore God is the one who creates the standards for marriage, not man. It is never the will of God for a Christian to marry a non-Christian as 2 Cor 6:14 states. God hates divorce because it is a breaking of a relationship that is an illustration of Christ and the church. The church must be obedient to God's word and submit to it rather than to their own wants and desires.
