God reminds His people of several things. First, they have not changed and He calls them to do so. God promises that there will always be a remnant. Second, God is unchanging and so is His faithfulness. Third, God reminds His people that His judgment on sin has not changed and there is still a final judgment to come. Fourth, we are reminded that God's law does not change. The God who acts is the God who speaks. Finally, we can be comforted knowing that God's promises do not change and we can rest on them. We need to receive the promises of God.
