| Often our conception of ourselves is based on an assessment of our accomplishments. The value of these accomplishments may be informed and measured by the standards of our social context. Unfortunately, all standards of this sort are somewhat arbitrary and irrelevant in the Kingdom of God. In His Kingdom, God's marvelous grace and favor are freely given to people from all types of backgrounds and social contexts irrespective of their earthly accomplishments. |
